You will be billed for each day the permit is active, including weekends.
General staff and some reserved parking lots do not require permits on weekends or between 5:30pm and 7:00am on weekdays. Student residence hall and apartment lots are reserved 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and require a visitor permit to park at all times. Please purchase according to where you want to park.
You must carefully read and agree to the following conditions in order to request a Visitor Parking Permit.
Visitor parking permits are valid only when placed in the drivers side of the front windshield facing forward. Permit is granted to the person listed in the 'Contact Information' section of this form and is not transferable to any other person or vehicle. Any ISU citations will (in most cases) be billed to the person requesting the permit. Visitor permits are only valid in general staff and student lots.
NO BAILMENT CONTRACT IS INTENDED -- PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK. When you register for a visitor permit to park at Iowa State University, you are only requesting a space for your vehicle. You are not requesting us to protect your vehicle or its contents. You assume the risk of your vehicle and/or its contents being stolen or damaged. You also agree that if your vehicle or its contents are stolen or damaged, you will not ask Iowa State to pay for your loss.
There is a minimum $150 citation for unauthorized permits.
Students, faculty, staff, vendors, construction workers, and affiliates are not considered visitors and may be ticketed and towed if a visitor permit is linked to their vehicle.
